Move over Volkswagen sausage, time to try the Suzuki Curry!
You might assume that the Japan-based automaker is selling mild Japanese curry, but Suzuki based their products off authentic Indian curry. The origin of this idea came from a time where the Suzuki headquarters were regularly welcoming employees from India on a business trip. The office cafeteria had to adjust and collaborated with local food supplier, Torizen to come up with Suzuki curry. Named after different Suzuki models, the ready-to-eat curry is available for purchase here!
The Guinness World Record for longest distance driven on a single charge
Last 5-6 July 2025, Umit Sabanci, Kenneth Schofield, and Fergal McGrath drove the distance of 1,250 kilometres on a single charge. The group drove a Lucid Air Grand Touring from St. Moritz, Switzerland to Munich, Germany. The vehicle is marketed to have a range of 960km on a fully-charged 112kWh battery— but clearly, it’ s capable of much more!
Queen Elizabeth was nicknamed“ Princess Auto Mechanic”
Before she was crowned queen, the then-Princess Elizabeth enlisted if the UK’ s Auxiliary Territorial Service( ATS) during World War II. During her service, the 19 year-old heir to the throne chose the role of mechanic and entered as a second subaltern before being promoted to Junior Commander. Young Elizabeth trained in driving and vehicle maintenance, giving her the ability to diagnose engine problems and fix them. After the war, she continued to drive herself and even taught her children and grandchildren how to drive!
The world record for largest speeding fine is around AUD 370,000
In 2010, Guinness recorded the world’ s largest speeding fine which costed a whopping USD 290,000( AUD 370,000). The anonymous motorist drove his Ferrari Testarossa at a speed of 137 km / h in an 80 km / h zone in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Swiss authorities calculated the man’ s fine based on his net worth of around AUD 35 million and previous speeding offences.
