FLEETDRIVE vehicles comprised 79,332 of the market ’ s total sales figure , which also improved by 15 per cent . Special vehicles were of the smallest percentage , with 2,910 units and increased by 32 per cent .
Toyota is also Vietnam ’ s leading car-brand for the year . The company sold 66,576 units , acquiring 19 per cent of the market , and improving by 16 per cent on-year . The auto giant topped sales for several countries in Southeast Asia for the entire year .
VinFast , a non-member of VAMA , is Vietnam ’ s premiere EV manufacturer and has seen success with domestic sales since its establishment . The company recorded 87,000 EVs delivered overall for the year 2024 , overtaking Toyota by a large margin .
On the other hand , another non-VAMA member , Hyundai recorded 67,168 units sold over all in 2024 . While the Korean company also beat Toyota , its December sales volume was 19.3 per cent down from November 2024 .
