Celebrating Small Wins : Why Little Successes Lead to Big Results for Fleets

Let ’ s be honest — it ’ s hard to say we did a good job . It ’ s easy to tell your friend , coworker , or your pet but most of us hesitate to tell ourselves the same thing . Over time , people have been told not to talk about their achievements because it could easily be seen as boasting . Or acknowledging a triumph , no matter how little , is insignificant anyway . But recognising everyone ’ s wins is actually the emotionally intelligent thing to do .
For fleet managers , regardless of the size of their fleet or the scale of their operations , celebrating small wins can lead to big results .
IT ’ S ABOUT THE JOURNEY , NOT JUST THE DESTINATION
Managers can get caught up in only thinking about the end results , leading them to downplay or ignore team growth , potential issues , or their teams ’ efforts . However , this may not be the most emotionally intelligent way to go . Only caring about the results removes you from the present and hinders you from fostering an open work environment .
Small wins are big wins too . But it is up to you and your organisation to define what “ small wins ”, and “ big wins ” are . You could have a large
