Tech Mahindra , a leading provider of digital transformation and consulting services , has partnered with Anyverse , a hyperspectral synthetic data generation platform , to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence ( AI ) in the automotive sector . The collaboration aims to streamline the application of synthetic data for training and validating AI systems , with a specific focus on enhancing AI adoption within the industry .
Through this partnership , Tech Mahindra plans to provide synthetic data sets , using Anyverse ’ s platform , to train and fine-tune AI systems for its global automotive clientele . The partnership ’ s emphasis will be on advancing advanced driver assistance systems ( ADAS ), in-cabin systems , and autonomous vehicle ( AV ) applications , with the potential to reduce AI adoption and software validation timelines by up to 40 %. This strategic alliance aligns with Tech Mahindra ’ s commitment to CASE ( Connected Autonomous Shared Electric ) capabilities and its broader digital transformation initiatives , as outlined in the NXT . NOWTM framework .
General Motors ( GM ) is spearheading a $ 60 million Series B funding round in Mitra Chem , a Silicon Valleybased innovator focused on battery materials , empowered by artificial intelligence ( AI ). Through its AI-driven platform and cutting-edge research and development facility in Mountain View , California , Mitra Chem will play a pivotal role in accelerating GM ’ s efforts to bring affordable electric vehicle ( EV ) batteries to market . Collaborating with Mitra Chem , GM intends to advance iron-based cathode active materials ( CAM ), such as lithium manganese iron phosphate ( LMFP ), to power economical and accessible EV batteries that align with GM ’ s Ultium Platform , used for EV propulsion .
The infusion of funding from GM will support the expansion of Mitra Chem ’ s existing operations and expedite the introduction of their innovative battery material formulations to the market . The company ’ s state-of-the-art battery research and development facility possesses the capability to simulate , synthesise , and test numerous cathode designs monthly , accelerating the learning curve and facilitating quicker time-to-market for novel battery cell formulas .
Bosch , in response to the sustained high global demand for semiconductor chips , has inaugurated a new chip and sensor test centre in Penang , Malaysia , with an investment of approximately 65 million euros . The company plans to inject an additional 285 million euros into the site by the mid-2020s . This expansion is in line with Bosch ’ s strategic focus on semiconductors , which are pivotal across all its business areas . T
The Penang test centre , spanning over 18,000 square meters , houses clean rooms , laboratories , and office spaces , and will employ up to 400 associates by the middle of the next decade .
Penang ’ s new test centre positions the company advantageously in the global semiconductor supply chain , specifically within backend manufacturing , a significant aspect of semiconductor production . The expansion enhances Bosch ’ s competitiveness , shortens delivery times , and strengthens its connection to the crucial Asian market .
