Pedders is also proud to now offer its Electric Secondary Park Brake ( ESPB ) for Toyota Landcruiser 70 Series models . Positioned as a back-up to the OEM manual cable-operated park brake , the Pedders ESPB features an electric park brake motor integrated into the caliper and ensures the appropriate clamping force is always applied when the ESPB is activated .
This provides an additional layer of holding pressure , which reduces the risk of vehicle rollaway , especially when the vehicle is heavily loaded . Pedders have tested the ESPB at a GVM capacity of more than 4200kg and the ESPB is able to safely hold the vehicle on a steep incline with significantly reduced risk of roll-away .
