FLEETDRIVE
Following the success of our previous national webinar in June on the
impact of COVID-19 on vehicle values, AfMA is delighted to return for our
another interactive and truly national event.
The unprecedented challenges of COVID19 has put significant pressure on fleet budgets,
creating an urgent need to optimise vehicle utilisation and extend lifecycles.
With capital expenditure on hold, this Webinar looks to explore different ways you could
sweat your assets, striking the right balance between the most cost-effective kms and
the retention term of the vehicle. What is the impact of adding an extra year or three to
ownership costs?
Our facilitator, Richard Schuster will walk us through a set of scenarios using varied
operational measurements to demonstrate the process and its outcome with historical
data backing detailed calculations. This methodology can be replicated for your CFO and
Board to assist in modifying policy and demonstrating the financial accountability of your
Fleet Department.
We will also discuss the need for a fluid fleet, the advantages and disadvantages of shortterm
leases, the need to move away from one-size-fits-all vehicle replacement policies,
technology, and tools available to assist us with this process.
Thanks to our Victorian chapter committee - Dave Allen, Allan Coulter, Matthias Kehle &
Paul Sor – for helping to bring us this Webinar topic.
