Telstra Fleet Overview Safety beyond the Metal

In 2018 Telstra announced to the market a major overhaul
of the company and called it T22. The announcement
included the fact that 8500 jobs would be lost over the
period. In 2019 Telstra announced that the majority of the
restructuring would occur in that year – pulling all forward.
For the Fleet team this meant the management of 700
surplus vehicles across the Country.
Steve Ellis is the National Fleet Lead for Telstra and has
been with the Company for 42 years. Steve has a story to
tell on the challenges of managing a 11,000 vehicle Fleet
down to 8000 in just over a year!
