While Installing bases in Eastern Europe and missile batteries capable of hitting Moscow , the United States ignores the Monroe doctrine which wanted Europeans not to interfere with the neighbors of the United States while the Americans too would be forced not to interfere in the European backyard . The Soviet missile crisis in Cuba in the 1960s was strictly linked to this principle . And whether we like it or not in the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse in 2021 , who had the audacity to approach Russia , we cannot completely rule out a deliberate act of reprisal against the freedom to diversify the economic and military partners of a nation which , according to this same principle , should be subject to the dictates of Washington .
