Hope in Action
L
iberty Restaurant Group, LP
(LRGBK) plays a large role in
assisting HopeFest for HavenHouse St. Louis as the title sponsor for
the past five years. The company truly
gets invested, not only during the fundraising event, but also at HavenHouse
year-round.
“We are the largest franchise group in
St. Louis and we are located right next to
the HavenHouse St. Louis, which houses
young cancer patients and their families.
Those staying there can walk to our BK®
next door and grab anything as they are
on their way to the hospital,”said Jay
Amarosa, owner of LRGBK.“We volunteer
at HavenHouse multiple times a week and
we understand what it means to these
people to have food and support during
this time.”
There are employees of LRGBK that
constantly donate their time and are
committed volunteers at HavenHouse.
They collect supplies and give necessary
items to the families and patients. The
individuals spend countless hours with
HavenHouse staff helping assess the
needs of the families and patients that
reside in their rooms. Jay Amarosa is one
of these individuals and is a well-known
face around the HavenHouse grounds.
In addition to donating food items
and freely giving their time to the facility,
the St. Louis BK® restaurants also host
a fundraiser in order to raise money for
the HopeFest Gala event. The top five
restaurants raising the most money send
their restaurant managers to HopeFest
and have a seat at the Liberty Restaurant
Group, LP front table. They raised $10,000
this year with Amarosa donating another
$5,000 to make the total $15,000.
The company provides additional
exposure for HavenHouse within the
community by donating digital billboards
along the highway. Amarosa also contributed a series of 15 different 30-second
