MY TRIP TO GAVI

It was Sunday and we were in Thekkady on our way to Gavi . It was an amazing journey with all those hills and the whole place covered with green . After travelling nearly a 20km , we reached a hill which did not have a road but was made up of tiles . As we tried to climb up the car ’ slipped as much as we ended up back at the start and this happened several times . Thanks to god . Suddenly , it started to rain . This delayed our journey more . When the rain stopped , the driver told us to get down so that the car would lose weight and would climb up . We had to walk for 1.7 miles and the car came slowly behind us . We were so tired that we all just dozed off in a few minitues as our journey continued . When we were nearly 20 km more far away from our destination and we were at the forest check post , we had been there at 6pm when we had to be there between 10am to 1pm . But dad managed it and we all got into the forest . It was such a beautiful forest that it can ’ t be expressed in words . When we travelled more 10km our great car got stuck again in the road yeah quite fascinating . Then when the driver just turned on the headlights as it had become dark we saw a huge elephant staring at us . Quickly the driver dimmed the light . We were all scared if it were a rogue elephant or if it was a herd . My sister and I kept thinking and laughing seeing dad as dad had been telling us to be quite and we weren ’ t able to control our laughs . The moment the elephant left we all got off the car and walked 500m and later when the car came and we reached the guest house and were so thankful to god to be safe and sound . The next day chief told us that , that night when we saw elephant and walked off the car it was deadly mistake and we were lucky as a tiger has passed through . We enjoyed Gavi and it ’ s beauty and left back home on Tuesday and were very happy that we were back and also for being alive .
