Co-working
Co-working space is a hot topic is the real estate
market right now. This type of tenant has really
caught on, not only in the office spaces but in the
retail space as well. We are seeing companies like
WeWork buying retail buildings, such as the Lord
& Taylor building in New York in order to plant
their new headquarters. These co-working spaces
can be structured in many different ways, which
allows them to be creative with the type of space
they occupy.

WeWork is creating partnerships with brick &
mortar stores to include panel events, J Crew
pop ups exclusively for WeWork members, and a
new work-focus collection. This collaboration can
change the way we think about the use of extra
space. All of this activity could help struggling
retailers create activity around their brand.
