Our focus is to offer opportunities for community members to exercise
their creativity, build on their strengths and to build bridges to enable
people to connect across cultures.
Our clients, students and program participants are primarily members of
newly arrived, refugee and asylum seeker communities.
These include services and programs that range from pre-accredited skill
development to nationally accredited and recognised certificated courses.
We specialise in beginning and elementary level English as an additional
language.
Refugee Support Program
We provide referral and support services to refugees and other newly arrived members of our community. Our aim is the ensure that those facing
barriers to successful settlement and social inclusion are supported in their
efforts to establish themselves in their new environment and are able to
utilise their skills and strengths to meet their own needs and achieve their
aspirations.
Youth Programs
Our youth programs provide a creative, safe learning environment for
young people from 10 years of age and upwards. We focus on supporting
those from disadvantaged backgrounds, striving to build their skills and
confidence by enabling an exploration of their own ideas and creativity
though use of technological tools.
Volunteering Program
Volunteers are not only integral to all our services and programs, but also
form part of the way FLN builds bridges and community.
