PROGRAMS & SERVICES PROGRAMS & SERVICES We deliver the following Nationally Recognised Training: The services provided by the Network are premised on a process which respects, values and enhances people’s ability to have control over their lives. 10361NAT Course in Preliminary Spoken and Written English 10362 NAT Certificate I in Spoken and Written English The Network actively encourages people to take advantage of their skills, experience and potential in meeting their needs and achieving their aspirations for a productive and happy life in the community. Key activities run in the Fitzroy Learning Network include: 10363NAT Certificate II in Spoken and Written English Students can start our English language courses at any time and can study part time or full time. We have flexible entry and exit points. LANGUAGE AND LITERACY CLASSES AT FLN Students can enrol in our courses under a number of government- funded programs: English Language Program Adult Migrant Education Program (AMEP): A Commonwealth government- funded program that provides 510 hours of free English classes to new migrants and refugees. Our English courses help students gain skills in speaking and pronunciation, listening, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary, computer skills and employability skills. Victorian Training Guarantee (VTG): English language courses for students eligible for Foundation Skills courses. We specialise in beginning and elementary English as an Additional Language (EAL) particularly for learners who have had interrupted education in their home country with low levels of literacy. A pre training assessment interview is needed before enrolment in a class to determine class levels, timetable and government funding eligibility. The Clubhouse: ‘One of our aims is to develop our members’ overall proficiency and familiarity with technology, encouraging their engagement on both a scientific and creative level.’ 4
