While I have been blessed to travel to the far reaches of the globe, the Caribbean is a place I always feel I can return to for an amazing diving experience. My first visit to the Caribbean was as a new diver in 2002. Adventures in Cozumel introduced me to swim-throughs, drift diving and night diving. Dive #20 was at Palancar Gardens. In 2005 I explored St, Croix, in 2006 Little Cayman and Grand Cayman, and in 2007 Curacao. Randy's Gazebo and the Bloody Bay Wall in Little Cayman left lasting impressions. Curacao is especially memorable with frogfish, seahorses and a playful octopus encounter. In 2008 I completed my advanced diving certification in Cayman Brac, perfected my bouyancy skills and dove the M/V Captain Keith Tibbetts (356) wreck . In 2009 the pristine reefs of Grand Turk (often considered part of Caribbean travel) took my breath away (but not my air) and grey reef sharks swam very close in West Caicos. While snorkeling in Grace Bay, Providenciales a pair of lionfish danced for me. 2012 presented a longer stay in Grand Cayman and included my Nitrox certification. In 2013 I found myself combining boat and shore diving in Roatan; completing 37 dives in 10 days.
