Life Gets You Twisted
Relax! Now Is As Now Is
In many ways our lives are not so
different from watching a movie. This
comparison can help us to understand
and lessen our stress. Here's an
example. When you are watching a
movie as it's being projected onto the
screen, you do not have control over
what you are seeing, at least in that
moment. So if in this moment a
preview is being played for a bad
horror flick, well that's what you're
stuck with. If it's the opening credits,
that's what you get, at least for now.
The fact is that what's on the screen is
on the screen, period. And there's
nothing anyone can do to change it.
Sure you can get up and leave the
“It is What it Is”. Many of us have
heard this expression. Let's translate it
to, “Now Is As Now Is”.

here may be things happening in
our lives that cannot be changed at
this very moment. For example, a
situation at work, home, family or
school, something you can relate to that
is going on in your life now.
The key to finding happiness NOW is to
Relax With What Is. First we can start
with the way we are thinking in this
moment of NOW. Don't look back to when
we were relaxed before or even forward
to how we are going to be relaxed in the
future. We need to be concerned with
how we are going to relax now.
Take a moment and think.
What would be required
to be relaxed in this
moment, right now?
