GAMES' INFLUENCE
Some parents forbid their children to play games, justifying that games are made for psychopaths and that they destroy the brain of their children.But why do they say it? Well,some parents think that games can affect the children’s mind.But they say it because they see violent games like Dead Rising(a zombie apocalypse game) Mortal Kombat (a bloodthirsty fighting game) and much more.Yes,those games are very violent,but games are like films.They have indicated the classification of age recommended to play.Games in general, can improve your abilities.We have puzzle games,games to draw like Gartic,we have strategy games like PUBG(PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds), CS:GO(Counter Strike Global Offensive).These two last games are very polemic,because they are shooting games.And some people argue that they have too much violence.Yes, they have, but for the pedagogue Lynn Alves, author of the book Game over: Electronic games and violence, in cases where the players take the violence contained in the games to reality, the desire to kill already existed and they find in those games only the pretext, motivation, for the act.So,a game doesn’t interfere in a person’s mind.
A lot of researches have been done,and they point that people who commit crimes, and/or possess a violent character, act influenced by other reasons.
Have you ever stop to think that the real problem aren't video games? But yes, the social problems that we see are the real culprits?
The psychologist Márcio Roberto Regis says that there are several variables in the complex life history of the individual that can generate violent behaviors, such as the absence of a family education, paternal absence (representing the law)drug use, bad influences of friends, trivialization of violence among others.
Social problems have a bigger influence in a child’s mind and in a person’s mind too.So it’s time to stop trying to cover up the real problem and blame something that was done to provide fun and joy, and pay attention to the real reason that the population is increasingly violent.
