The boat ’ s performance with the Evinrude 200 H . O . ETEC is extremely gratifying . For a boat this big , wide and heavy , the Evinrude puts it up on plane in a matter of seconds , and the hull is extremely stable , even when only the back couple of feet are touching the water when trimmed out . The Coastal feels very safe and comfortable , even when the wind at Pyramid Lake starts to kick up . I love to troll for trout , kokanee and salmon in Northern California , and the 21 ’ Coastal is an excellent trolling platform . I use the Minn Kota I Pilot trolling motor on the bow to steer the boat , while running the Evinrude H . O . kicker on the stern for power . This conserves the battery of the electric , and provides plenty of speed and control for fishing a variety of lures . With the I Pilot remote control , I can be at the back of the boat netting a fish and be able to direct the boat off the rocks or into the wind .
