At War with the Stereotypes of Iran

By Jordan Moore

Iran is mostly known as for what the news and the government portrays it as, a country full of terrorist. People should give Iran a chance to go see it with their own eyes. Some of the facts are true about the country, like the wars; but that’s what makes a lot of the country interesting. Despite all the stereotypes, it is a beautiful country to be in. The wildlife and nature is breathtaking also, the history behind the country and other countries are vividly amazing for people who love history.

As Americans, it is relatively hard to get into Iran. If you’re willing to jump over a few hurtles, you’ll be in shock what you are in store for. There are a lot of native species in Iran including bears, goats, cattle, and camels. But the most famous member endanger are the world's last surviving, endangered Asiatic Cheetah also known as the Iranian Cheetah, which is today found nowhere else but in the Iranian wild. More than one-tenth of Iran is frosted, so the nature is very limited. But the nature that is not frosted is beautiful. The most flora growths are all different types of trees including the oak, ash, elm, cypress, and others. On the plateau, areas of scrub oak appear on the best-watered mountain slopes, and villagers cultivate orchards and grow the plane tree, willow, walnut, beech, maple, and mulberry. Wild plants and shrubs grow from land in the spring in pastures, but in the summer, the sun burns them away. If you love to see nature at its finest, visit the slopes of Iran by the Caspian Sea.
