RIO VISTA – It’s been a tough fall and
winter in the Sacramento-San Joaquin
River Delta for lure tossers and trollers,
but the striper fishing is finally picking up.
If you want to hook stripers at this
time, try flinging swimbaits on the west
bank of the Sacramento River across

and released a dozen striped bass to 8
pounds while throwing swimbaits in 2
to 3 feet of water during the incoming
tide on Saturday,” said Don Paganelli
of Paganelli’s Bass Fishing Experience.

of Gatecrasher Fishing Adventures.

Singapore company caught and released
six slot-sized sturgeon up to 58 inches
and seven undersized fish at the Middle
Ground while fishing with Medinas. They
