HOT BITES...
1.
EAGLE LAKE ‘BOWS… Trollers are hooking
trout to 3.5 lbs while working from Shrimp Island
to Wildcat Point. Trolling and rigged worms do the
damage.
2.
PYRAMID TROUT … Trollers are battling
cutthroat trout that range up to 10 lbs. The most
pro lures remain either Flatfish or Apexs in green
color patterns.
3.
SANTA CRUZ ROCKFISH… Rockfish and
lingcod action has been steady for central coast
anglers. Shrimp flies, butterfly jigs and soft plastics
swimbaits are all hooking.
4.
TRUCKEE TROUT… The Truckee River is the
scene of good fishing for browns and rainbows.
Spin anglers are using Panther Martins and crickets,
while fly guys dead drift nymphs.
GOOD BETS…
5.
SAC RIVER KINGS… Many of the fish being
caught are dark, but they are big weighing up
to 33 lbs. Cured roe and T-55 Flatfish are the top
tempters.

BODEGA BOTTOMFISH… Hefty limits of
rockfish are hitting the decks of charter boats
along with plenty of lingcod. Standard offerings like
flies and metal jigs do the trick.

BRIDGEPORT RES. TROUT … Fall is in
the air in the Eastern Sierra and Bridgeport
Reservoir is kicking out big trout. PowerBait and
Rapalas are the top offerings.

FOLSOM BASS… Topwater action is on tap
for anglers working Spooks and poppers early
and late. The spotted bass average 2 lbs and range
up to 4.
SLEEPERS…
9.
S.F. TROPHY KINGS… Anglers interested
in quality size fish are hooking salmon that
range beyond 35 lbs. Trolling rigged bait is the best
approach.

COLLINS LAKE ‘BOWS… Trout fishing is
underway with fish to 4 lbs showing in the
catches. Bank anglers are tossing PowerBait while
trollers pull Kastmasters.
11.
WEST DELTA STRIPERS… Stripers are
on a solid bite from Pittsburg to Rio Vista.
Trollers pull Yo-Zuris while bait anglers soak shad
and mudsuckers.

TAHOE MACKINAW… Mackinaw ranging
to 10 lbs. along with some bonus rainbows
are being hooked while trolling. Minnows teamed
with dodgers and minnow plugs are both working.

Steelheading will get started on the Trinity in
October and peak in early November. Both fly and
conventional anglers will get in on the excitement.
