“When I am
fishing a frog or
flipping matted
vegetation, I
am throwing the
new X-TCB 8
Carrier Braided
Line form P-Line.
It is critical to
be stealthy with
both techniques,
and with P-line’s
new braid, you
can make longer
casts and it is
ultra quiet com-
ing through the
grass.”

HOT BITES...
1.
SACRAMENTO RIVER KINGS… More salmon
are coming into the river every day. A fish per rod
ranging to near limits has been the rule for anglers
working plugs with guides in the Barge Hole area..
2.
S.F. BAY HALIBUT… A sizzling halibut bite
has developed inside S.F. Bay. Drifting live
anchovies, sardines and shiners has been the ticket
for fish to 35 lbs.
3.
EAGLE LAKE RAINBOWS… The trout have
moved into deep water the bite is on. Troll grubs
and worms at 30 feet for limits of rainbows to 3 lbs.
4.
FOLSOM CATS… Summer is catfish time at
Folsom Lake. For fish in the 4 to 12 pound range
soak mackerel, sardines or crawfish tails early and
late in the day.
GOOD BETS…
IT ALL ADDS UP

GOLDEN GATE SALMON… Limits are the
name of the game for private boaters and charter
boaters. Rigged herring and anchovies have been
tempting salmon to 30 lbs.
TO MORE FISH IN THE BOAT.
6.
HAT CREEK TROUT… Rainbows and brook
trout are biting well. Crickets and salmon eggs
have been the best things to employ recently.
7.
BUCKS LAKE COMBOS … Rainbows and
kokanee are on the bite. Dick Nite Spoons,
Wedding Ring Spinners and threaded night crawlers
are all getting hit.
8.
BERRYESSA ‘KOKES… Big kokanee in the 16
to 17 inch class are being caught near the Big
Island. Orange Uncle Larry’s Spinners matched with
Sep’s dodgers work well.
SLEEPERS…
9.
BODEGA ROCKFISH… Lingcod and rockfish
are on a great bite offshore of Bodega Bay. Bars
and squid tipped shrimp flies are hooking heavy limits
of bottomfish.
10.
DELTA STRIPERS… Patient trollers are
hooking stripers that range up to 10 pounds.
Yo-Zuri shallow runners have been the ticket at the
top and bottom of the tide.
11.
WHISKEYTOWN ‘KOKES… Kokanee to 18
inches are biting well. Apex Lures and Wiggle
Hoochies teamed with Sling Blades do the damage.
