“When I am
fishing a frog or
flipping matted
vegetation, I
am throwing the
new X-TCB 8
Carrier Braided
Line form P-Line.
It is critical to
be stealthy with
both techniques,
and with P-line’s
new braid, you
can make longer
casts and it is
ultra quiet com-
ing through the
grass.”

HOT BITES...
1.
COLLINS LAKE ‘BOWS… The water is warming
up and the trout are moving deeper, but the bite
is still great. For a limit work water 15 to 35 feet deep
with baits and lures.
2.
S.F. BAY POTLUCK… Live bait drifters are
doing very well in both the south and central
sections of the bay. Halibut to 40 lbs and stripers to 25
lbs are being landed.
3.
TAHOE MACKINAW… Mackinaw to 17 lbs. are
being landed by trollers. Minnows teamed with
dodgers have been working best when trolled from
110 to 225 feet deep.
4.
AMERICAN RIVER SHAD … Anglers are
landing up to 20 shad per trip. Top offerings
include tiny crappie jigs and bead head flies.
GOOD BETS...
5.
LAKE AMADOR BASS… There is a solid
post spawn largemouth bite underway. Large
plastic worms and jigs work the best, but reaction
baits are hooking fish too.
IT ALL ADDS UP
6.
EAGLE LAKE TROUT… A good trout bite is
underway at Eagle Lake. Trollers are working
shallow water from the Pelican Point to Shrimp
Island with grubs and orange spoons for trout to
3 lbs.
TO MORE FISH IN THE BOAT.
7.
MONTEREY ROCKFISH… Rockfish and
lingcod action has been steady for central
coast anglers. Shrimp flies, metal butterfly jigs and
soft plastics teamed with jigheads are all working
well.
8.
STAMPEDE KOKANEE … Sockeyes in the
10 to 12 inch class are on a strong bite. Apex
Lures and Wiggle Hoochies teamed with Paulina
Peak dodgers are producing limits.
SLEEPERS...
