PARDEE / CAMANCHE LAKES cont .
On a recent trip to Lake Pardee , two anglers fishing with Robbie Dunham of Koke Machine Guide Service landed 20 total fish , including 8 lighting trout , 6 rainbow trout and 6 kokanee salmon . The kokanee averaged 11 to 13 inches and the trout averaged 2-1 / 2 pounds and went up to 5 pounds . The trout hit Speedy Shiners at 40 to 55 feet deep . The fish were scattered all over the lake . No one spot was great – they to move around . to find the fish , according to Dunham . Dunham said they caught the kokanee from 90 to 110 feet deep on micro spinner hoochies , mostly in pink , up the river arm from the mouth to Deer Island . “ The surface water surface temperature 73 to 75 degrees ,” he added . “ We are getting more lightning trout than rainbows now .” Another trip to Pardee by Dunham – a trout only trip – produced 9 lightning trout and 8 rainbow trout . Pardee Lake is now holding 197,150 acre feet of water , 70 precnetof capacity and 97 percent of average . At Lake Camanche , Dunham said he is catching rainbow trout from 30 to 50 feet over the river channel . He ’ s been using Speedy Shiners in four or five colors . On his latest trip to Camanche on July 26 , Dunham ’ s four clients ended up with 10 quality rainbows to 7-1 / 2 pounds . “ They said they only wanted to keep 10 trout ,” noted Dunham . “ The color doesn ’ t matter – it ’ s getting lure down in the fish ’ s face ,” he observed . His latest trolling adventure on Camanche produced limits of rainbows for two anglers . “ While trolling from the North Shore Ramp to the Dam , a lot of times we catch our limits before we even get to the dam ,” he added Lake Camanche is holding 211,980 acre feet of water , 51 percent of average .
