HOT BITES ...

LAKE BERRYESSA … Trollers are nailing limits of rainbow trout , big king salmon , spotted bass , and smallmouth bass . Find the bait schools and use Speed Spoons , Needlefish and Rapalas .

BODEGA BAY ... Full limits of rockfish and big lingcod , along with a few salmon are being caught off the Sonoma County Coast . The rockfish and lingcod are chewing on swimbaits , bars , and shrimp flies tipped with squid strips . Trolling anchovies has been the ticket for catching salmon .

LAKE PARDEE … Boaters are hooking kokanee while trolling 90 to 100 feet deep on spinners , hoochies , and micro spinner hoochies , tipped with white corn . Trout are also being caught while trolling 40 to 55 feet deep .

FISHERMAN ’ S WHARF / BERKELEY
… The potluck trips that have been fishing just outside of the Golden Gate have been producing limits of rockfish and big lingcod . The halibut bite has been fantastic for trollers and those using live anchovies

ENGLEBRIGHT LAKE … Anglers are catching limits of rainbows while trolling dodgers and worm combinations . Bank anglers are also catching nice trout while using Power Eggs .

LOS VAQUEROS … Catfish plants have reached a total of 5,000 pounds with the latest two plants of 1000 pounds each went into the lake on August 27th and September 10th

FOLSOM LAKE … Anglers are still catching huge salmon with one tipping the scales at 13 lb . 9 oz . Trolling anchovies in the 80 to 100 feet deep has been the best technique for a chance to land one of these monsters .

CALIFORNIA DELTA … Big bass are being caught while flipping , punching and with topwater frogs . The largest to hit the scales recently was 10.6 pounds while using a frog . Striped bass are also being caught while trolling and casting an array of lures including swimbaits , Rat-L-Traps , glide baits and topwater baits .

DAVIS LAKE … The catfish action has been good throughout the lake for anglers using worms and prepared catfish baits . Early evenings has been the best with fish averaging 1 to 1 ½ pounds .
HALF MOON BAY … The salmon
10 . fishing out of Half Moon bay has varied on a day to day basis with limits reported one day and under a fish per rod the next . The fish have been huge with some tipping the scales at 40 pounds .
MONTEREY BAY … Anglers have
11 . reported phenomenal rockfish fishing while using swimbaits , jigs , bars , and shrimp flies baited with squid . A mixed bag of vermillion , lingcod , cabezon and an assortment of rockfish are being caught .
GOOD BETS …

LAKE AMADOR … Catfish , bass and carp are being caught at Lake Amador . Imitation threadfin shad lures are landing catfish and bass while dough baits are best for carp .

COLLINS LAKE … The first fall trout plant is scheduled for October 24th . The second plant will be 2,000 pounds of rainbow and lightning trout . Bank anglers should try spoons , spinners , Power Bait and nightcrawlers . Top baits for trollers have been flies , grubs , spinners and spoons .
