many anglers prefer searching for giants in the depths using large plastics and trolling crankbaits around schools of baitfish .
For those searching for final trout opportunities , brave the cold . A standard presentation with floating lines can provide you with steady action until freeze up . If you bring kids fishing , keep it simple . Trolling crank baits along weed lines produced a load of fish , and having them cast wacky rigged worms or small minnow imitation flies helped create confidence on the water .
