but you really need to pay attention to your own child and figure out what works for them.

Name three products you couldn't do without

A nappy disposal bin - contains the smell, and means you don’t need

to make multiple trips outside to dispose of a pungent nappy.

A baby sling - this was especially valuable when I had my second

daughter and was out and about with her and our toddler. It meant I had my hands free.

A backpack - we started off with

a nappy bag, but a

backpack is easier to manage, as you have both hands free, and it doesn’t bump against your leg when pushing the pushchair.

Anything you wish you'd never bought?

A baby bath! We used a bath sponge purchased online, and laid the baby on that in the main bath. It was much easier, as the baby was cushioned, and you could use both hands to wash her.

Where are your favourite local haunts?

Here are a few of our favourite places to visit: Coney Hall playground - it has a good range of play equipment; Crystal Palace Park (with dinosaurs) is not to be missed; Coolings Nature Trail in Knockholt - it has a great cafe too.
