I'd Buy That for a Dollar!

Nearly New Sales

Local parents were able to sell on their preloved goods and to snap up bargains on items that might only have been used a handful of times, whilst helping to support NCT’s charity work in our local area and at national level. Our cafe with yummy homemade cakes, bacon sarnies and children’s play area was again a big hit! Thanks to all our volunteers who generously gave up their time to help make the event a success - and

kept smiles on their faces all morning despite the searing temperatures on one of the hottest days of the year.

Due to an abundance of tabletop sale providers in the local area, the branch will now be focusing our efforts solely on ‘ticketed’ sales, in which sellers label up their items with a description and price, and on the sale day branch volunteers sort items into various categories (eg. toys, equipment, clothes, etc.) This means buyers can head straight to the sections they are interested in, while sellers don’t require a table full of goods to sell, or even to attend on the day. A small registration fee is charged but otherwise sellers only pay commission on the items they sell.

Massive thanks to Big Yellow Storage Beckenham for supporting the branch - without their help we

could not hold any events. Don’t forget you can get 10% off their storage by quoting ‘NCT’. Thanks also to Starbucks West Wickham (who hold NCT Parent Friendly status) for once again supplying the coffee - hugely appreciated.

New and expectant parents snapped up bargain baby and children’s clothes, toys and equipment at our June Nearly New Sale held at St John’s Church in Eden Park. Our next sale with be held on 11 November 2017 at the same venue - please note, this is a change to the originally advertised date.
