The trio of receivers( Kelley, McCollough, Tullous) form the secondary, forcing 13 interceptions last season. Tullous tied Hadley for the team high in tackles and was the district Defensive MVP.
“ We’ re the most confident we’ ve ever been,” said Kelley.
With a class of 25 seniors, Peaster changed their mindset following the loss to Shallowater in the area round.
Gaining the taste of a big game feel, the Greyhounds test themselves once again in their non-district schedule with the likes of Tolar, Ferris and Jacksboro.
“ You want to win all four, but you take a couple L’ s there and it’ s going to make you better in the long term,” said Owens.
The key for Peaster to win the big games and win more than one golden ball is to start games more explosively, according to Tullous.
Taking the month of June off and ramping up workouts in July, the Greyhounds hope to come out firing in week one and prove that they’ re here to stay.
