That period , he said , caused a delay in any development the athletes would have had in their sophomore and junior years , including building team morale and accountability .
“ We don ’ t start playing football until the end of September and we don ’ t finish football until late January . We won the state championship on Jan . 15 2021 ,” Buchanan said . “ So that eliminates your toughest month — January is usually a tough month on our football players , that is when we are finding out if they want to be a football player or not .
“ These kids really missed a year and a half of offseason and never got to do
