Do you have a child who typically comes down with a
case of summertime boredom during summer break? There’s
plenty of things to do around town—you just have to know
where to look! Whether it’s catching a movie in the theater
or under the stars, creating crafts or artwork, or even taking a
family hike, use this handy guide to help you find an activity
to entertain your child this summer.
FREE ‘MOVIES BY THE BAY’
Ripley’s St. Augustine Attractions and St. Augustine
Municipal Marina present the free summer movie series
“Movies by the Bay.”
Movies will run each Wednesday night from June 10-Aug.
5 at 8:30 p.m. at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina, located
just behind Bayfront Mini Golf.
Guests should bring chairs or blankets for seating, and the
schedule might change due to inclement weather.

Ripley’s Red Train Tours will offer a complimentary shuttle
from the garage at the Visitor Information Center on Castillo
Drive; pick-ups begin at 7:30 p.m. at the train depot and
run every 15-20 minutes until 8:30 p.m. The train will also
transport guests back to the garage.
On Wednesday, Aug. 5, there will be a Marvel’s Avengers
and Back to School Superhero Party starting at 7 p.m. with
free mini golf, games, activities and costumed characters.
Everyone is invited to come dressed as their favorite
superhero. The complimentary shuttle will begin pick-ups at
7 p.m. for the final night of the summer movie series.
All movies are rated PG with the exception of Marvel’s
Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy which are rated PG13. The movie line-up is as follows:
June 10 – Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good,
Very Bad Day
June 17 – Shark Tale
