This quarter brought a long list of events that our
members attended. Some members of the executive
board attended the annual IAFF Convention in
Seattle, Wash. This years event celebrated the 100
year anniversary of the IAFF.
Led by Firefighter/Paramedic Matt Anderson ‘3,’
the SAVE program is off and running. The program,
sponsored by the California Fire Foundation, offers
$100 Mastercard gift cards to those who suffer a
property loss from a disaster such as fire or flood.
Several members have been interviewed for an
upcoming union based video project highlighting
cancer awareness and workers comp issues. Look
for that video to be released in very soon.
Many members are making good use of using one
of the 935 owned BBQ trailers in a variety of public
events and political fundraisers.
