SPARK OF LOVE
Each year during the holiday season your firefighters in Victorville support the Spark of Love toy
drive in cooperation with ABC-7 TV. This program benefits children less fortunate in the city and
provides toys to families who otherwise may not receive anything for Christmas.
TIP A FIREMAN
Each year your county firefighters host an event in cooperation
with Chili’s restaurant in Victorville called Tip A Fireman. On-and
off-duty firefighters assist the restaurant staff with serving
customers in hopes of receiving a tip that is above and beyond
what the normal tip would be. The extra amount is then forwarded
to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

FIRE EXPLORER PROGRAM
Your firefighters serve as advisors to Post 555 in Victorville. The fire
explorer program gives youth (ages 14-20) a first hand experience
with the mental and physical demands of professional firefighting.
Participants receive fire service training under supervision of trained
firefighters. The program is designed to give participants beneficial
experience, discipline and knowledge that can apply to any career field.
Community outreach programs with non-profit organizations allow us the very
special opportunity to connect with the communities we serve at a basic level. This
past Victorville event gave us the chance to not only re-connect with old friends,
