GREETINGS BROTHERS AND SISTERS, It is with great pleasure that we announce the inaugural San Bernardino County Firefighters Benevolent Fund charity golf tournament. All proceeds will benefit the benevolent foundation, a non-profit organization that aids our members in times of crisis. See our article in the Spring 2019 edition of FIREWIRE for more info. The first year we will be holding it in honor of Mikah Carney, the son of Mike Carney, and the family of Ryan Foulks, fallen brother of Brandon and Dustin Foulks. You can find more information on the following website: www.sbcbf.org/golf From this website you can register sponsors, donors, golfers, and purchase raffle tickets. We are asking all of you to aid us in seeking out sponsors and donors at this time so that we can make this event wildly successful. Thank you for your consideration and please contact me for any questions. Here are a couple of important rules for sponsors: 1. Alcohol CAN be donated for the event but CANNOT be served by sponsors. All alcohol must be served by Upland Hills Country Club for liquor license reasons. 2. Food CAN be served by sponsors and they can set up a booth on one of the holes. Put them in touch with David Renteria 714-757-5009 or myself for questions related to food/alcohol sponsors. Yours in service, Kevin Palmer Engineer/Paramedic SBCoFD Station 226 C 951-427-9020 The event will be held at Upland Hills Country Club on March 6th, 2020 with a 10am tee time. It will be a 4 person team scramble with a shotgun start that includes a dinner banquet directly after the event at 3pm. We are going to have raffle prizes, 50/50 raffle, prizes for 1st, 2nd, and last place team, as well as sponsor booths, and games on the course. 4 FIREWIRE • FALL 2019 FALL 2019 • FIREWIRE 5
