Our fire explorer program is a point of pride for our members. It
gives us a chance to work with young people and to mold the next
generation of firefighters.
• Local 935 members from Division 2 co-hosted an “end of
summer” barbecue with San Bernardino city council member
Juan Figueroa, one of our supporters in local government.
• Division VP Nate Lopez was proud of the turnout from
membership across the divisions during the San Bernardino
County Board of Supervisors meeting during which the FP-5
assessment options were discussed.
• Fire Station 224 in San Bernardino took delivery of its new
engine! ME224 is a KME outfitted to County Fire standards
and setup. Thanks to our mechanics, the apparatus committee
and other groups who come together to make these apparatus
worthy of our pride.

• Members from all divisions came together at the recent
board of supervisors meeting in support of the FP-5 tax.
Our members are often happy to support the street vendors
and food trucks popular in the community of Muscoy.

• ME224 participated in the Trunk or Treat car show and
costume contest in San Bernardino.
