The band’s mission is to honor, memorialize and pay tribute to those men and women
who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and passed on. The band consists of members
past and present that share a common interest in playing traditional tunes, to pay
respect to those we have once worked alongside. It is our honor to represent County
Fire and all members of Local 935. We take pride in all that we do, and recognize
that we would not be here today and functioning the way we do without the support
of our 935 members. Until next time… ”Fir Na Tine” (Men of Fire).

September was a busy month for the San Bernardino County Professional
Firefighters IAFF Local 935 Pipes and Drums band. The first was the International
Association of Firefighters (IAFF) International Fallen Firefighters Memorial, held
in Colorado Springs. As always, the event went very well and Local 935 Pipes and
Drums gave tribute and honored our fallen brothers and sisters in an emotional and
well-organized public event. The second was the California Professional Firefighters
(CPF) Fallen Firefighters Memorial, held in Sacramento. That event also went well,
and 935 Pipes and Drums represented justly. The band continues to be involved in
County Fire’s badge pinning, promotional, and graduation events, as well as many
other events throughout the year.
