displayed a work ethic full of commitment, passion and professionalism of undoubtedly the highest quality. I learnt a huge amount surrounding the importance of building relationships with fellow industry professionals and listening to the voices of young people. Since leaving Clapperboard I have qualified as a teacher in Drama. However, during my training I became significantly interested in the psychological wellbeing of young people and the challenges they face. I am now embarking on training as a counsellor to support young people in education. Clapperboard will always hold a very special place in my heart, the work they create so organically and collaboratively shall always be remembered. I’m honoured to have experienced working with such a committed and passionate Charity. Sarah Donavan I began working as a volunteer at Clapperboard ,following my undergraduate degree studying Drama and Theatre Studies at Liverpool Hope University, in 2011. What became apparent very early on was the significant amount of work Clapperboard did with young people across the North West. Their passion and commitment to inspiring a young generation was paramount to their overall ethos and vision. Tackling social issues young people encounter throughout their adolescent years was a true driver. Clapperboard gave young people ownership of the work they wished to create ranging from challenging bullying to mental health problems.
