social realism film director Ken Loach. After making the film Clapperboard helped again by putting me in touch with my first agent. In 2011 I was invited to join Clapperboard’s Active Citizens panel to help judge, present and award the following years of blossoming film-makers. As you can imagine this was a huge honor for me. Bradley Thompson I was first introduced to Clapperboard UK when they come to my school in 2007. Even back then they were helping young people make short films with issue orientated concepts; the following year our school won Best Film Award, which was presented to us at the high profile Clapperboard Awards Ceremony in The Philharmonic Hall attended by many famous film and television personalities. As we had won were treated to a trip to the famous Pinewood Studios. This was like seeing another world with my own eyes, where I was inspired and realized that it was possible to be anything that I want to be. I admire Clapperboard UK for the fantastic work they do as they are committed to helping young people take ownership of their creative visions. The contact between us has been strong ever since which has helped to give me the confidence to seriously seek a career in the arts. The year I left school, I was cast in my first ever film, Route Irish directed by famous The stage has also been a big part of my professional career, from which I have collected a diverse range of skills. Touring internationally with a number of diverse shows including puppetry, acting, dancing/singing, directing, music and poetry. In 2015, I had the chance to go to Cologne, Germany to make our own short film called No Signal and thereafter created a company called SPOKEN WORLD. Clapperboard screened No Signal at one of their events; it was shown in front industry professionals and gave me the opportunity to receive some welcomed feedback. This year i will be starring in pantomime with Ted Robbins and Brian Capron at The Stockport Plaza and it will be my sixth consecutive festive pantomime that I have secured. Next year I will be continuing to develop Spoken World and investing in equipment to film and produce short films whilst travelling. I can honestly say that Clapperboard UK has inspired and supported my professional journey and I’m sure they will continue to do so in the future.
