A once in a life time trip on the magnificent Orient Express

40
We are celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary very soon and would really like to push the boat out and enjoy a spectacular holiday, but sadly neither of us enjoy flying, do you have a suggestion to make?
Without doubt one of the most luxurious train journeys and adventure that you could undertake is on the Orient Express.
You can experience a luxury train journey aboard the Venice Simplon( Orient Express) and you could then become part of this glorious ever-changing history. A glimpse of it’ s gleaming carriages suggest that this is a memorable journey and probably one of the most memorable in your life. Journeys can take you to great European cities, from London you can go to Paris, the ultimate journey to Venice or perhaps Berlin, Prague, Vienna, and Budapest tick the box for you.
A weekly departure is available from the wonderful buzzing city of London from Victoria Station.
The journey itself is an absolute adventure, you will have a luxurious overnight trip, when you arrive on late afternoon on Day 2 your time on board will be wrapped in timeless romance, vintage carriages and livered stewards, fine cuisine and fine wine, each memory will be a moment to savour.
On Day 1 you board the Belmont British Pullman train at Victoria Station, there you will start to experience the luxurious touch as you are met and shown by your Steward to your reserved seat. Enjoy brunch served with a Bellini as you travel through and meander the Kent countryside.
After crossing the Channel, normally by the tunnel, you board the Venice Simplon Orient Express train. Sit back and enjoy a delicious 4-course dinner prepared by the very skilled French chefs, you will of course have thought about changing in to your finery and most people do and treat it as an occasion and dress for dinner. Gentlemen the code is usually a dinner suit and for ladies you can never be overdressed on the Orient Express. After dinner and before you retire to your cabin and find that this has now been transformed in to a cosy bedroom, you may want to visit the bar and listen to the pianist or visit the well stocked Gift Shop.
On Day 2 you will be woken by your steward with breakfast in your cabin as the magnificent mountain and country scene glide past as you spend a relaxing time over breakfast, at a time of course to suit you. You can spend the morning relaxing in your cabin or in the bar car chatting to fellow guests.
A leisurely 3-course lunch is served in another of the beautiful, wonderful restaurant cars and the afternoon should be spent admiring the passing scenery, later more food as afternoon tea is served in your cabin.
All too soon sadly though it is time to prepare to disembark the train as it crosses the Venetian lagoon and pulls in to Santa Lucia Station.
