Riut, the company that has revolutionised safe travel with the anti-theft RiutBag backwards backpack, has seriously enhanced its award-winning R10 and R15 models. Designed for the city commuter, frequent international traveller, urban native and digital nomad who need to keep their high value gadgets safe from thieves, the R10 and R15s upgraded features deliver added techprotection while making travel even more convenient, comfortable and secure. New features Still retaining Riuts famous core design a backwards backpack with no outer zips; the only zips are the ones against your back the major new features include the addition of a D-pocket for smartphone storage, a wider top pocket, a trolley suitcase strap, redesigned and Lycra-made laptop and tablet compartments, colour reflective bands and detachable chest straps. Along with the classic black finish, a new stylish navy blue model has also been introduced. Taking RiutBag users feedback onboard, these enhancements mean the new 10 litre R10 and 15 litre R15 are the safest, most user-friendly and sophisticated RiutBags yet. Wider top pocket Constructed from waterproof Cordura, one of the strongest, durable and anti-abrasion woven nylons available, the main body is also foamlined throughout, providing added protection for valuable tech. Furthermore a water and abrasive proof base made from Thermoplastic polyurethane means users can rest the RiutBag on any surface - be it rock, mud, snow, wet, hot, cold knowing the bags contents wont be damaged. A very specialist protective plastic, the durable material can withstand extremely high and low temperatures and will not wear through for at least a decade. RiutBag D pocket Found at the base of the bag, a D-shaped pocket is designed to hold your smartphone, train tickets, keys and passports. Accessible without removing your RiutBag, these important items can stowed and taken out without missing a step. Whether on a bike, in a queue or riding an escalator, the D-pocket allows a new way of travelling securely in busy urban spaces. Working in tandem with the D-pocket, the new improved top pocket is now more accommodating and the perfect place to securely store items you don’t need to use frequently during the day. Inside compartments Inside the bag, the new look laptop and tablet compartment is made from robust Lycra allowing storage of devices without protective covers. There are also two zipped Lycra pockets for the secure stowaway of smaller tech devices. Trolley suitcase strap A boon for the international traveller, an in-built strap now allows simple attachment to the trolley handle of any suitcase. Keeping all your luggage together and secure when moving through an airport, passports and important documents are still accessible through the D-pocket while all possible vulnerable access points for opportunist thieves are covered by the handle. RiutBands Every RiutBag R10 and R15 comes with four brightly coloured attachable RiutBands. Finished in red, blue, green and pink on one side and an all reflective surface on the reverse, these bands allow users to personalise their RiutBag, making it easily identifiable when on the go or at the airport, while also helping cyclists and pedestrians to be seen at night. Removable chest straps All RiutBags have chest straps allowing users to fit to their body shape and distribute the carrying weight closer to their centre of gravity. The chest straps are now removable for those who don’t use them but can be easily reattached if required. Sarah Giblin, the RiutBag creator says, With todays city commuter, international jet-setter and urban traveller carrying an arsenal of valuable tech our recent survey showed 63% of commuters carry belongings worth up to £1000 and more*, its paramount to keep them safe from thieves and protect them from the vagaries of everyday life. Sarah continues, RiutBags backward backpack design always offers peace of mind when travelling but these new R10 and R15 models now have features that adapt to the needs of a busy life on the move. The new improved R10 and R15 are truly the modern day backpack for the digital nomad and globe-trotter. Every RiutBag is designed and built based on user feedback and survey answers from urban travellers and Sarah Giblin prototypes new designs based on this user thinking.
