We ’ re a family-owned

company providing structural steelwork to the construction industry . Our premises are based on Aycliffe Business Park , in County Durham , providing a central location and flexibility to supply the whole of the UK . Whilst providing a wide range of structural solutions , the company specialises in the production of portals , trusses , beams and columns . We ’ re determined to ensure that customers ’ requirements are met at all times with quality and cost being at the forefront . As a team we guarantee that delivery is timely and strive to achieve a first class reputation to be at the leading edge within the construction industry . We are continuously investing to ensure we have the latest technology and software . Finley Structures was established in 2000 by John Finley and , since then , we have grown significantly . We ’ ve increased our workforce and worked on high-profile projects up and down the country . We have reinforced our position is one of the market-leading steel fabricating firms in the country .

We ’ re on course for another record year

elcome to our winter 2014 newsletter as we approach the end of what has been an historic year for Finley Structures . We ' ve been working throughout the year on a number of exciting , landmark projects . Of course , everyone is aware of the highprofile contract with Hitachi Rail Europe , and our contract to construct a 1,400-tonne project for Nissan , constructing the steel frame for the Japanese car manufacturer ' s new facility in Washington . We ' ve also completed a 300-tonne contract for the National Biologics Centre in Darlington for contractors Interserve as well as Middlesbrough Council ' s state-of-the-art Sports Village , erecting 500 tonnes of steel for main contractor Willmott Dixon . We ' ve recently started work on a 500-tonne contract for Bam Construction at Teesside University as well as a 1,900-tonne project for Sir Robert McAlpine at the £ 650m Victoria Gate retail development in Leeds , which is planned to open in late 2016 . year , beginning in April , currently totalling £ 13.8m , meaning we ' re already on course to improve on our current record turnover of £ 13.1m . We ' ve seen 200 tonnes of steel going through our factory every week for a number of weeks , while significant investments have also been made recently and now we ’ re looking to make the next step and keep investing to ensure we ’ re always improving and increasing capacity . Bolstering the management team and investing in new kit is all geared towards increasing the firm ’ s production and capacity to be able to take on more . So as we prepare to end another year , we go into 2015 in great shape and looking forward to what will hopefully be another record-breaking year for Finley Structures . Julie Managing Director
