WELCOME

LOTS TO CELEBRATE IN 2018

Well what an eventful year 2018 has been .

We started the year with two

retirements in the office . In January John Wayper , our Contracts Manager of seven years , retired . And in March Jim Graham our Operations Manager of four-and-a-half years also retired . They are both greatly missed in the office but still pop in to say “ hello ” from time to time . However , we didn ’ t just lose two valued members of office staff at the start of the year on the 20th January four trailers were stolen form back yard , fortunately CCTV was in operation and captured the whole thing . Externally January saw Carillion Construction going into administration and it has been labelled as one of the “ the largest ever trading liquidations in the UK ”. We have worked with Carillion on several occasions and their demise demonstrates just how tough the construction industry can be . We have added some new clients to our portfolio , these include McLaren Construction , Caddick Construction and Eric Wright . We are also pleased to say that Willmott Dixon returns to this list after five years .
“ We have fabulous people working here and we would like this to continue for many years to come ”
With the year starting to pick up we added our own factory extension to our jobs list . As Autumn arrived the new state-of-the-art Voortman fittings machine had been installed and we are pleased to say it is running smoothly and so far , we are very happy with the machines impact on production . As we come to the end of the year we are at full capacity and have confirmed orders going right through to July next year so it ’ s all good . Estimators are working hard on securing further orders for the new year , so let ’ s hope 2019 has a better start and is consistently busy right through . We have a very good name within the industry and lots of repeat business from some very strong clients . We have fabulous people working here and we would like this to continue for many years to come . Let ’ s have a good finish to the year and an even better start for 2019 . The Finley family would like to wish you all the best for Christmas and the New Year .
