This annual show features the work of some of West Virginia’s best quilters. See this beautiful
display of more than 50 quilts and wall hangings from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Join us to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Culture Center. Since 1976, this building has
been the ultimate welcome center to the state, and showcases West Virginia’s artistic, cultural and
historic heritage.
Traditional and neo-traditional musicians from around the world head to Clifftop every year for
great music and dance competitions. This family-friendly event offers onsite camping.
Take a walk from prehistoric history to the present day at
the West Virginia State Museum and discover historic records in the State Archives
library.
Once a federal custom house, the home
of West Virginia’s statehood features stories of the Civil War as well.
Visit one of the largest conical Adena burial mounds and
see exhibits from the state’s archaeological collections featuring 12,000 years of history.
This historic site is rich in the region’s natural and
cultural heritage and was home to the state’s first African-American 4-H camp.
Set in Chief Logan State Park, the museum serves as a re-
gional cultural center, showcasing West Virginia history and arts.
