Also, Alice watched the photo shoot from the sidelines and made sure my hair was perfect and there
was no lipstick on my teeth throughout the shoot.
I got to try all three kinds of photos that Luigi offers at his studio: Classic Pin-up, Soft Glamour, and
Boudoir. In our classic pin-up session, I got to wear an apron and make a pie—no baking skills required!
In the soft glamour session, I wore a green dress that I brought and he helped me find the perfect
Vanity Fair poses. Then, the boudoir session--the most popular style of photography at Capitol
Bombshell. I got a few different poses, we did some implied nude shots and some poses in lingerie.
(The idea of “implied nudes” would have made me clutch my pearls before, but I felt more dauntless
with every shot!)
Once I saw the proofs, I was blown away! The girl in the photos looked like me, but more empowered
and self-assured. These pictures came to represent exactly what I am capable of, even after my life
changes—self-love and being comfortable in my own skin.
All in all, I was absolutely thrilled with the photo shoot and had a blast working with Luigi and Alice.
I left feeling confident and proud of myself--something that I still strut around town with.
