Teaching and Training Equipment Procurement

Construction Contents: Purchase of 3,354 sets of training equipment. The Building and expanding of 64
training rooms in addition to adding 2,000 new training stations.
Achievements：
1. Improvement in the School Conditions and Enhancement in the Quality of teaching.
The project significantly improves the ability of sustainable development of the Dehong prefecture vocational
education. The total value of teaching equipment in Dehong Vocational Education Park increased from RMB
15.075 million yuan to RMB 76.275 million yuan. The number of students went up from 7,000 to 11,000. The
equipment value per student went up from RMB 2,154 to RMB 6,934. The experiment and training courses
practice ratio went up from 65% to over 95%, which is more than 60% of the total teaching hours. In the past
3 years, students of the school have won 1 First place Prize and 15 Second place Prizes in the high-level and
mid-level vocational skills competitions of Yunnan Province. The major of vehicle repair was awarded as the
provincial leading major, and the major of nursing was awarded as the provincial demonstrative major.
2. Training High Skilled Talents, Serving Economic transformation and Development
Dai-Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture of Dehong is located in the southwest part of Yunnan Province. It is the
key component of “the Belt and Road” strategy, facing the radiation center of South Asia and Southeast Asia
and the pioneer construction area of the BCIM economic corridor. The practical, managerial and high skilled
talents trained by Dehong Vocational Education Park improved the quality of the local population. The
Initial Employment Rate of our graduates has gone up from 96% to 98.2%. Dehong Vocational Education
Park closely integrates with local development needs. The number of graduates who start up businesses
with skills has gone up from 96 to 178. Dehong Vocational Education Park provides external training and
skill authentication for nearly 10,000 person-time every year and holds the innovative activities related to
a Vehicle, machinery, medical and health etc. It not only promotes the potential economic growth but also
helps frontier minority poverty areas achieve a leapforward in developments.
3. Serving West Part of Yunnan Province and Some Areas of Burma and Thailand
As the pilot zone of “Reform on Vocational Education Mode and the Talents Training System in the
Frontier Minority Area” initiated by the Ministry of Education, it demonstrated a leading project through
communication with other vocational education zones such as Song Ming, Chu Xiong, Pu Er, Bao Shan etc.
As the radiation center, Dehong Vocational Education Park has recruited 51 students from Burma, Thailand
and other countries.
