Zhumadian Central Hospital Project
of Henan Province
Founded in 1965 and located in the beautiful southern area of Henan Province, Zhumadian Central Hospital
is the largest Grade-3 class-A hospital in Zhumadian city with 2,100 beds and 2,250 employees. It is
committed to providing medical and health care services for 8.7 million residents in Zhumadian city.
In order to improve medical conditions and the level of diagnosis and treatment and to provide better
services for patients, the hospital applied for an Israeli Government Loan of USD 13.25 million to purchase
31 sets of medical equipment (including 3.0T MRI, Linear Accelerator, etc.) after it had been approved by
the municipal government in July 2011. The project was approved by MOF in 2012. From March 2014 to
May 2015 all the medical equipment purchased under the Project had been delivered, installed, and put into
operation.
Implementation of the Project has upgraded the medical equipment of the hospital and significantly improved
the hospital’s comprehensive strength and social awareness. The greatly-improved level of diagnosis and
treatment meets the ever-growing demand for medical and healthcare services from the local residents.
There is nearly 20,000 person-time of the medical check by 3.0T MRI every year; about 10,000 person-time
of medical treatment by Linear Accelerator each year; and about 5,000 person-time of medical check and
treatment by Philips Vascular made in Israel every year. The medical equipment purchased under the Project
not only helps doctors to provide medical services to the pat ients but also helps the hospital gain much more
income as well as social and economic benefits. Some examinations and treatments in the hospital have
reached the same advanced level seen in Henan Province, which further enhances the good reputation of
the hospital as the core medical center in the southern area of Henan. We sincerely wish that the friendly
cooperation between Israel and China will be further developed with more fruitful achievements.
