In addition, U.S. producers, importers, and purchasers were asked to assess how often  differences other than price were significant in sales of quartz surface products from the United  States, China, or nonsubject countries. As seen in table II‐12, when comparing domestic quartz  surface products to that imported from China, a plurality of U.S. producers reported that  differences other than price were sometimes a factor. The majority of importers and a plurality  of purchasers reported that differences other than price were always a factor when comparing  quartz surface products produced in the United States and China.   In further comments, importers cited differences in aesthetic appearance, availability,  branding, colors, customer service and support, custom fabrication capability, delivery times,  designs, distribution channels, quality, and slab size. U.S. importer *** stated that because of  the different manufacturing process, Chinese producers can create natural‐looking quartz  surface products such as large vein white marble and quartzite, which are popular for mass‐ market consumers. It contends that U.S. producers’ Breton machinery cannot easily produce  similar looks. U.S. producer *** indicated that differences other than price are always   II‐30
