Message from Ron Salski , Executive Director
It feels great that summer is upon us . We know the importance of parks and recreation to our community . I am proud our staff ' s hard work , creativity and flexibility which allowed us to keep our parks , facilities and programs available to the community during the past year . Please enjoy our beautiful parks and check out our summer community events . We are excited to announce that Barefoot Bay will be open . Staff is finalizing the details and monitoring restrictions and guidelines .
At some point , we will be moving you into Phase Fun ! When it happens , get ready for many exciting opportunities to experience our parks and facilities . Check out our new website for the details .

We are also launching a new website which offers an improved user experience on both desktop and mobile . Our goal is for you to quickly and easily find the information you seek .
The summer Connections Brochure has some new programs and events . We continue to work to find opportunities to meet our residents ' needs . We have translated some information into Spanish for the first time . Pages 16 & 17 explain the registration process and lists several events and programs offered this summer . We also offer Circuito Personal , a group class taught in Spanish . See page 8 .

The Community-Wide Survey was sent out in mid-March . Residents were randomly selected to participate in the survey . If you receive an invitation to complete the survey , please fill it out as it will guide our Park & District with decision-making over the next five years . For those that want to complete the survey but do not get an invitation , a separate survey will be available at the conclusion the first survey . Check our website for details . Your input is valuable to us !
Keith Mione Community Park will be getting a new marquee as the former marquee was experiencing significant repairs . It will have a fresh look and updated to provide information .
