The total employee training expenses in 2017 for the 236 establishments which provided
training were estimated to be an average of about RM 7,600 per company * . 17% of the
establishments do no incur any cost for such training, while most the establishments spent
RM10K or less on employees training. Management Consultancy and Market Research,
Engineering, and Scientific R&D and Technical Testing & Analysis establishments spent the
highest on employees training
The main source of funding for training expenses are derived from establishments’ internal
account, while the utilisation of HRDF levy is significantly lower.
