5.4 In-depth qualitative interviews with industry stakeholders
Apart from the quantitative survey, qualitative insights and views were obtained from both
the demand- and supply-side stakeholders, which include:
1. Government policy-making agencies
2. Educational and training institutions, TVET providers
3. Industry associations, experts and key opinion leaders across the identified sub-sectors
Semi-structured interviews with the above stakeholders via telephone and/or face-to-face were
conducted by a team of business analysts who have extensive experience in conducting B2B
interviews with decision makers, industry professionals and government officials. Interview
questions were continuously refined throughout the information gathering process in order to
tailor specific questions to be relevant to the respondents as well as to incorporate and verify
new information gathered. The interview findings also helped to refine the results from the
survey to confirm the insights drawn. Support was also sought from relevant government
agencies to reach out to the relevant target respondents for interview.
