The response was very great, as we managed and gathered too many clothes, school
supplies, toys and medicines for the little refugees of Grevena. The pupils' parents, other
residents of Grevena, schools from Grevena, Crete, Athens, Spain, Romania, and Italy
responded to our call.
All these kinds of gathered, we surrendered on November 24 to the President of the
Teachers Association, Mr. Kostas Palaskas, who in turn handed them over to the refugees.
We conducted a contest for the project logo among the partner schools so that the best
painting by all schools would become the program logo.

The selection of the logo was made by a live conference call of 11 schools and a vote like the
Eurovision Song Contest.
On the occasion of unity in the language lesson "Life in other places", the students sought
their roots in their family environment. Their work presented them to the classroom and so
we were surprised to find that many of their students and ancestors were refugees from
Asia Minor or immigrants.
Students' group work was carried out on migratory birds in Greece.
We held instructive visit to KPE Pramanton where we visited the CCI report for 1900 Epirus
immigrants on "From the Infinite country Great Continent", while the next day the students
wrote thinking and writing on "Immigration in 1900 and today" :

We sent five refugees for hospitality at the Asgata Limassol primary school. These are
paintings created by the five groups of class students. While after a few days the primary
school of Asgata Limassol Cyprus sent us six refugees (paintings) that we hosted at our
school and in our homes.
We created a collaborative tale with the first elementary school of Grevena (we wrote it and
they did the illustration and the translation in English and vice versa) and a co-operative
story with the 2nd Primary School of Athens (we wrote the end of the story).
